Here are some fun pieces I created to start my “I Wish They Were Real” series. I’ve been a lover of fantasy creatures as long as I can remember and always dreamed of being able to create my own fantasy art. My pieces are nothing like what I imagined as a child but they are definitely “me,” not just a recreation of the art styles I saw in books.
It was really a joy to paint these. I sometimes forget how much of a blessing it is to be a generally happy person who is always in the headspace to just make whimsical, fun art.
Sadly, that spark is dormant at the moment. I have to admit, I’m struggling.
