I hope your week went well. As usual, mine was hectic! I managed to get some progress on my Spring pieces but I have to admit that I focused the majority of my creative energy on an unplanned mini collection. These paintings were made as a personal art therapy project but I figured you may like to see them anyway. They aren’t finished yet but I am still excited to share them.
I’ve been struggling with all the hate that is permeating our society right now. I decided I would start to make art that shows my support for some of the minority communities that seem to be the focus of so much negativity lately. This also helps me process my anxiety and use all that twitchy energy for something productive. I have quite a few loved ones who are LGBTQ+ so I figured that was a good place for me to start.
SPRINGTIME COLLECTION PROGRESS
Here is the update on my Springtime Hobbit Hole. Not much to see on the others but I hope to have more to show you all next week.

Surprisingly, even though I have been a maker/artist my entire life, I’ve only recently started to use art as a mental health tool. Have you ever tried art therapy? If so, did you feel it helped? Does it all just sound like a bunch of rubbish to you? Click reply and let me know what you think.
